She is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of BERNEXIS Construction & Development, LLC, a certified Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) providing comprehensive construction, development, and renovation services to federal, state, local, and commercial clients.
A licensed general contractor and roofing contractor, Ms. Jones-Smith brings a rare multidisciplinary skill set that enables full life-cycle project delivery—from preconstruction planning through execution and closeout. Her credentials include OSHA 30, SBA 8(a) Business Development Program participation, and licensure as a lead renovator, claims adjuster, and real estate agent. This breadth of expertise strengthens regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, cost control, and schedule performance across diverse contracting environments.
Ms. Jones-Smith holds a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Florida State University, blending technical construction knowledge with design, planning, and space-use optimization.
